DISCIPLINARY ACTION
Montclair State University and St. Joseph’s University have been placed on probation for the remainder of the 22-23 season for violation of NCSA Rule 19.01.0. Both programs forfeited 3 conference games during Week 2 of the NCSA Season.
$10,000 CASH PRIZE – EXIT VELOCITY COMPETITION
The NCSA is excited to partner with Velo Hero, a company determined to change the landscape of sports through analytics & their philanthropic culture.
Velo Hero is currently running a National Competition to see who can produce the highest Exit Velocity. Grand Prize? $10,000! A portion of the winnings will be donated to the Champions charity of choice.
The competition will be running from September 1st through November 13th. Velo Hero will then invite the leader from each & every major collegiate baseball league – NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III, JUCO, NAIA, NCSA – to compete at the National Competition in Indianapolis this December. Winner takes home the $10,000 grand prize! Awards will also be given to the highest exit velo for each position.

RAWLINGS PRESEASON NCSA TOP 20
The Hokies from Virginia Tech pick up where the left off…atop the Rawlings Preseason NCSA Top 20! VT was nearly the unanimous #1 picking up 298 out of the possible 300 points but UGA and Florida State also picked up first-place votes. Clemson and Michigan join Georgia and Florida State to round out the Top 5.

SOUTH ATLANTIC/PACIFIC TEAM PREVIEWS
The facts are the South Atlantic and Pacific Regions have produced many National Champions. From 2009 to 2014 (6 years straight), the National Champion was either from the South Atlantic or Pacific Region and out of the 15 NCSA World Series Tournaments ever held, 7 have been from the South Atlantic or Pacific, nearly half. The Mid-Atlantic produced last year’s NCSA National Champion with Virginia Tech taking home the National Title in 2022. Will they be able to repeat in 2023? Who will join them in Columbus?
